I know I’m not the only one who is happy for 2020 to come to an end after everything this year has thrown at us. I for one can’t wait to see in 2021 and am hopeful it’ll be a good year. I’ve decided to come up with some resolutions for 2021, something I’ve much neglected doing the past few years. I’ll be honest, I gave up with new year resolutions, as I found I could never stick to them for more than a few months, however I am determined to stick to them this time. I’m hoping writing them down will remind me to keep them up and give you some ideas for your own resolutions. Here’s mine below-
To Get A Job In My Industry
This one is pretty self explanatory. It’s been a tough job market due to COVID and the fashion industry has struggled in the pandemic. I’m hoping as restrictions ease and this vaccine takes effect that more job openings arise and I can finally land my first graduate role in fashion.
To Eat Healthier
This resolution may have come to me after days of eating second helpings throughout Christmas but I still think it’s a good one to have. I could definitely do with cutting back on the takeaways and would love to spend 2021 trying new and healthier recipes.
To Be More Productive & Be More Confident
These may seem like two different resolutions but to me they come hand-in-hand. I’m a pretty organised person but find I take ages on different tasks due to being a perfectionist. This year I’m going to try harder at time planning and be more confident in the work I’m producing rather than worrying what other people will think.
I’m also going to try to be more confident on my social media that I use for this blog (@chloesuze) and try showing the face behind the brand with more reels, talking on stories and IGTV! This one might take a while but you know what they say… PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE!
To Only Buy Clothes I Need
This one sounds so simple but I think a lot of us tend to over-consume when it comes to clothes. This year I’ve realised how important it is to stop buying so much to help protect the environment and workers in the fashion industry. I’m now only going to buy clothing if it’s something I need or if I’m willing to donate/sell on Depop clothing already in my wardrobe that I no longer use.
What are your New Year resolutions for 2021? Let me know in the comments.
